I just bought a new pair of yellow rubber boots Hunter, but they smell not good. The smell of rubber isn't there. I have a couple of other Hunter boots, which have the good smell of rubber. Is it because my old ones are made in Scotland, while the new ones are made in China?

The new boots are also slightly weaker than the old.
Does any other similar experience.
Hunter out of China and back home to Scotland.

heard that new ones are supposed to crack aswell :( seems to be lots of complaints about chinese  ones, luckily i have lots of new 'old ' scottish ones left
