Hi,

A few weeks ago I bought a inflateabe canoe, a good French brand called Servylor. Last Sunday I took the canoe on a test sail on a local lake, but got completely wet from drops from the paddles.

Today when going out for a sail on the Moselle river, with a friend who was sailing in his own kayak. Today I was a bit better prepared. I wore a pair of rather tall blue sailing boots and a pair of yellow Guy Cotten rain bib pants, and this time I of caue did not get wet at all. The water flow in the river were a bit high, normally the flow on this part of the river is quite slow. But today it took some effort to go upstream, but I managed a kilometer or two, it was easier for my friend as the kayak easier go through the water. It have been raining here quite a bit over the last few weeks, so clearly that were the reason for the extra water flow.

But what a fantastic way to spend the day, dressed in raingear and boots and having fun close to the water. It was sunshine all afternoon and 19 degrees. We have already agreed to go sailing another time. And next time it will be on a river with even faster flow, but then we will only go one way and that's down stream.

Regards
