Good that you mention the safety issue :) It's all very understandable, photo shoots on railway tracks look really nice. But every year there are indeed some people that find out the hard way that railway tracks are dangerous, even when you *think* there's no trains coming.

But without physical connection to other tracks, there's really not much that can go wrong here, indeed, so you can make a nice picture in safety :)
