Does anybody know where the rainwear brand Eriksens Atlas comes from? And whether it’s vintage and discontinued or still available? I have a pair of orange overalls from this brand. They’re very heavy duty PVC on cotton and reminds me of the quality from Grundens Hercules / Brigg. I got them on ebay from a seller in the USA and the condition was like new. But I can’t find the brand anywhere. I think I saw a short description at one point which indicated that they may have been manufactured by Aalesund Oljeklde, but I have been unable to get this confirmed. I’m curious to track their origin, so please respond if you have any thoughts. Thank you.

I'm definitely not sure, but there is a detail store selling heavy duty rain clothes and clothes for heavy working here in Bergen called Sigurd Eriksen Eftf. They might produced their own label earlier. The company established back in 1902. I have seen the Eriksen label too, actually I had a jacket from Eriksen too.

Thanks, that’s interesting. I hope more people in here have an idea about the origin of this rainwear brand.

Apparently there used to be a manufacturer called Eriksen Oljeklædefabrikk: https://www.europeana.eu/portal/da/search?q=who%3A%28Eriksen+Oljekl%C3%A6defabrikk%29

I found this one; https://digitaltmuseum.no/021025931061/forkle. So it looks like Aalesund is the right place.
